Columbians Helping Community
***If you are alumni in need of help due to the pandemic, please send us a brief email about your situation and one of our Board members will contact you***
Among the main attributes of leadership is leading by example. And the Columbians in the DMV area are up to the task, ready to roll up sleeves and help the community in the midst of a devastating COVID-19 pandemic. Please join our effort by answering the questions on the right, and we will contact you with additional details.
For those who would like to donate instead, please consider two critical initiatives we have joined forces with:
- Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB):
- ColumbiaDC is proud to support the region's largest relief organization CAFB. They provide food to nearly 400,000 children and families who face hunger in our region. Because of the impact of the pandemic, CAFB is facing a shortage of food supplies while expecting a dramatic surge in demand. You can donate through HERE.
- Student Relief:
- We have heard from a number of alumni who have shown a desire to help students directly. If you wish to join them, you can make a gift today through our Columbians Care for Students portal, with funds matched by generous donors. Your gift will further efforts to support students at the Columbia School of your choice. The receiving organization is Columbia University and it's tax ID is 13-5598093.
