Columbia University will be volunteering on June 11th to make a comforting lunch for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House only allows for 8 volunteers at a time, and the meal must be cooked on the premise. Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House often spend their day at their child’s hospital bedside or in and out of countless appointments. Coming home to a hot meal after a long day at the hospital can bring a great deal of relief to our families.
Because we are responsible for purchasing and preparing the meal, we will be accepting monetary donations to provide food, and all extra money raised will go to RMH. RMH cannot accept meals prepared in a personal kitchen – all meals must be prepared on RMH of DC.
