She will address how her career plans changed over the years, the “what to do” and “what not to do” and she will talk about the many golden nuggets that helped her get to where she is now. Juliette will also discuss what helped her to get to senior level and executive-level positions, along with “How-Tos” in becoming a Board Director and what companies look for in a Board member. Juliette W. Samson is a senior executive with a proven track record of leading change, formulating and executing strategy, focusing on customer service and program delivery across consumer packaged goods, financial, communications and information technology industries. She has managed organizations of 100+ personnel with varying roles from business management to technical engineers. Additionally, her deep experience in technology, vendor management and contract negotiations led to significant savings in each of her various global multi-site roles.
Currently, Juliette leads the technology and supply chain sector of World Finer Foods.
She revamped World Finer Food’s ERP platform, migrated to a hosted virtual environment and drove financial and performance optimization. She is also spearheading the transformation of the Supply Chain end-to-end process and life cycle including renegotiation of contracts for improved speed, service levels and overall profitability of the firm.
Juliette joined WFF from Pfizer’s Shared Services Program Delivery and Portfolio Management organization in servicing IT Worldwide Technology with Program, and Portfolio expertise. Under Juliette’s leadership, her organization was responsible for delivering complex, large-scale programs (with aggregate budgets exceeding $600 M) for Pfizer’s Worldwide Technology organization. In addition, she led IT M&A integrations across Infrastructure and Global Shared Services.
Before that Juliette spent some time at Merrill Lynch where she implemented large enterprise programs instilling standardization and efficiency while providing business value. While at Merrill Lynch (now Bank of America), she renegotiated several $40 million plus outsourced contracts and created and implemented measurement systems to manage the overall health of their Global Network Business to significantly improve business value while reducing operating costs.
Past roles include 10 years at Lucent Technologies (today’s Nokia) as the Executive Vice President of customer delivery and customer operations where she led multiple organizations from R&D to product development and was responsible for over $1B in revenue and spearheaded multiple cost reduction initiatives culminating in hundreds of millions saved.
Her 12 years at AT&T in product and business development generated accomplishments such as expanding the ATT business internationally, opening the Brazil /Latin America market while spearheading market strategies which achieved profitable growth of over 200%. She began her career at Western Electric Co. as a factory engineer while simultaneously maintaining a teaching position in mathematics in multiple universities.
Residing in the tri-state area with her husband and two children; she is a graduate of Cornell, and Columbia University and speaks 4 languages, Romanian, Hungarian, Spanish and English.
