National Museum of African American History and Culture Guided Tour - MEMBERS ONLY

Join ColumbiaDC alumni, the Yale Club of DC members and the Penn Club of DC, to visit the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) on Sunday afternoon, January 12th.

This event is sold-out!

This event is hosted by the Yale alumni Club. This is a Members-only event! Tickets are free, but limited, so register soon to secure a spot! Registration is required to attend.

You can renew your membership here: https://dc.alumni.columbia.edu/contributing_member

We will meet in front of the museum between 1:30-1:45 PM, and we’ll start together in the Heritage Hall entry area for a museum overview from Penn alumna and NMAAHC docent Janice Ferebee.  We’ll then have until closing (5:30pm) to explore the museum.  We are working to secure one or two more docents in the hopes that we’ll be able to offer everyone a guided tour. We will send out a more detailed email to all registrants as we get closer to the event.

The museum is located on the National Mall at the corner of Constitution Avenue and 14th Street, made easy to remember by this quote from Lonnie G. Bunch III, NMAAHC’s founding Director and now Secretary of the entire Smithsonian Institution: “on Constitution between the 14th and 15th Amendments.”

We look forward to learning and reflecting together at this newest Smithsonian window on America.  Check out https://nmaahc.si.edu/about/museum for more information about the museum, and reserve your tickets before we fill up!

Ticket sales end on January 10th!
