Our host is Cornell Club of Washington DC inviting our members and their guests to a wine and cheese reception in the Kennedy Center's Russian Lounge, followed by a full-orchestra rehearsal of Wagner's opera, "The Flying Dutchman", conducted by Philippe Auguin. The rehearsal will feature the complete opera, including all singers as well as the full orchestra.
A member of the production’s creative team, one of the singers, and Washington National Opera’s Executive Director Michael Mael will join us during the reception to answer our questions about opera, discuss the WNO’s production of The Flying Dutchman, and talk about the rest of this and next year’s exciting season.
Following the reception, we will be escorted to the exclusive box seats by the ushers.
Please Note: This rehearsal is the final event before the sold-out dress rehearsal, and is being made available only to our group. Sign up early!
