Join the biggest names in exploration as we pay tribute to the visionaries who push boundaries and change our world for the better. Festivities will begin with a global culinary adventure featuring an array of cuisines prepared by some of D.C.’s most celebrated chefs like Victor Albisu of Del Campo, Amy Brandwein of Centrolina and Todd Gray of Equinox, complemented by cultural performances highlighting National Geographic’s work around the world.

We’ll continue the evening in Lisner Auditorium with a star-studded show hosted by writer and comedian Mo Rocca, with filmmaker and explorer James Cameron, TV host Jason Silva and a special performance by X Ambassadors lead signer Sam Harris. During the show we will proudly honor astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, photojournalist Brian Skerry, and clean-energy visionaries Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg of Solar Impulse, who have led the crusade to preserve the planet for future generations.
